What you see

- Verification Hub — newly created batches must be verified within 72 hours of birth. Tap to open the batch.
- Alerts — a cluster alert fires when 3 or more animals die from the same cause within 7 days.
- 6-Month Trend — sparklines for piglets born, mortality %, and revenue.
- Sow Productivity — all active sows ranked by genetics performance. Score = avg litter size × survival rate. 🥇 top sow should be your priority breeding female.
Daily routine
- Check the task list every morning and complete any due tasks.
- If you see a red cluster alert, report it to the manager immediately.

What this screen shows
- All breeding animals — Sows (females used for farrowing) and Boars (males for breeding).
- For Sale tick — enables the animal to appear on the public storefront visible to buyers.
- Tap the pencil icon on any row to edit an animal's details or update its pen.
Logging herd feed
- Use Log Herd Feed above to record daily rations for breeding stock.
- Choose All Animals on Pen to log one entry for a whole pen, or pick a specific animal.
- Enter the feed type, quantity (kg), and session (Morning or Afternoon).
Adding animals (trained staff only)
- Use + Add Animal to register a new sow or boar entering the breeding herd.

What is a batch?
- A batch tracks one litter of piglets from birth through to sale — a 90-day cycle.
- Each card shows the stage (Nursery · Weaners · Growers · Finishers), age in days, and task status.
Task colours
- Red — task is overdue. Complete it and notify the manager.
- Amber — task is due within 3 days. Prepare now.
- Green — all tasks on schedule.
Inside a batch
- Tap any batch card to open it and see the task list, feed log, and weight log.
- Log feed and weight directly from the batch detail page.
- Use 💀 Report Death or ⚕ Health Issue to log incidents.
Registering a birth (trained staff only)
- Tap + Register Birth, select the sow and boar, enter live-born count and birth weights.
- A 72-hour verification deadline is set — complete Day 1 tasks and verify within that window.

Farm layout
- Pens are organised as Building → Floor → Pen.
- Each pen card shows whether it holds an active batch, breeding animals, or is empty.
Using pen cards
- Occupied pen — tap Open → to go directly to that batch or herd animal.
- Empty pen — tap the card and choose 🐣 Register Birth to start a new litter, or 🔄 Move Animals Here to assign breeding stock.
Unassigned pens
- Pens not yet linked to a floor appear in the Unassigned Pens section at the bottom.
- Use Assign to floor ▼ to place them in the correct location.
Managing structure (manager only)
- Add buildings and floors here with + Building, or go to Settings → Farm Areas & Pens.

Recording transactions
- Use Add Record to log any income or expense.
- Income — pig sales, grants, or other farm income.
- Expense — feed, medicine, labour, utilities, equipment.
- Link a transaction to a batch to track per-batch profitability.
What each role sees
- Owner — full P&L summary strip and complete transaction ledger.
- Manager — per-batch performance view (revenue vs cost per batch).
Payment methods
- Choose Cash or M-Pesa. Enter the M-Pesa confirmation code in the Ref field for easy reconciliation.

Medicine Inventory

- A warning appears when stock reaches zero — reorder before it runs out.
- Use + Medicine to add new products to the inventory (trained staff only).

Feed Inventory
- Track all feed types in storage — bags, kg, or tonnes.
- A warning appears when stock reaches the reorder level.
- Use + Stock when a delivery arrives; use − Use when feed is drawn from store.
- Every restock with a cost automatically creates a Finance expense record under category "Feed".

- Change your login password here. You must enter your current password to confirm the change.
Appearance
- Cream — light theme, useful in bright outdoor conditions.
- Dark — dark theme for evening use or low-light environments.
- Auto — follows the phone/device system setting.
Farm Areas & Pens
- Add or remove buildings, floors, and pens. Changes appear immediately in Housing and all pen dropdowns.
- Pens not assigned to a floor appear as Unassigned in the Housing screen.
Team (admin/manager only)
- Add new staff accounts and set their role: Farmhand or Manager.
- Tick ✓ Verify Training once a farmhand has completed on-farm training — this unlocks full access for that user.
- Untrained farmhands can only log feed, weight, deaths, and health events.
